Synonimy: Wcześniej zaliczany do Aderus (sg. Otolelus)
Komentarz: This species was included in the Polish fauna by Jakobson (1915) and Borowiec &Tarnawski (1983). The Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera (Nardi 2008) also cites Poland at Otolelus pruinosus (Kiesenwetter), presumably on the basis of the abovementioned authors. We were not able to locate any voucher specimens of this species in Polish collections and Cobososia pruinosa should be removed from the list of Polish species. However, judging from the general distribution, the occurrence of C. pruinosa in Poland is not improbable (Jałoszyński, et al. 2013)
