Komentarz: W Polsce z cała pewnością nie występuje, informacje o występowaniu w Polsce opierają się na założeniach - wszystkie dane dot. M.kiesenwetteri z Polski zostały przyporządkowane M.schmidti bez weryfikacji okazów.
Chronology
First report on Molorchus schmidti Ganglbauer, 1883 from Poland was published by Althoff, Danilevsky (1997:19) as supposition without giving specific data then repeated by Sama (2002:61). Gutowski (2005) deleted M.kiesenwetteri from fauna of Poland only on the basis of the article of Sama (1995:375) without any examined specimens (Gutowski, pers.comm. 2010, JK) assuming that M.kiesenwetteri as mediterraean species is not present in Poland and he treated all records of Molorchus kiesenwetteri (Mulsant et Rey, 1861) from Poland published up till then as records of M.schmidti. Slama (2006) simply repeated this point of view.
This was accepted by Sama G., Löbl I., (2010:189) in the Catalog of Palaearktic Cole-optera (Löbl & Smetana, 2010). At present, there are no identified, published or known specimens of M. schmidti from Poland. Thus all known specimens of Molorchus from kiesenwetteri group from Poland must have been verified (JK, 2016 in press).
